Sustainable Architecture is often overlooked due to the perceived costs involved and a requirement to meet budget without really understanding what “sustainable” can mean.

Jurado Architects approach each project on its own merits and incorporate sustainable design principals that suit a clients brief where ever possible. Sustainable Architecture can range from using effective passive solar design, ‘taking passive heat gains and embodied energy and releasing that at the right times during the year’. Through to photovoltaic power sources for electricity, solar hot water, Bio waste control systems and much more

Material specifications, country of origin, recycled content are all factors we consider when designing. There must be a conscious effort to provide sustainable and renewable materials in our built environment where possible, allowing for a careful selection and product evaluation in our projects we aim to exceed clients expectations and to do our best for our architecture and the environment .
